"You deserve to work with a professional who delivers financial advice with the highest integrity"

Mission Statement

I deliver financial advice with the highest integrity, including creative and thoughtful solutions to your financial planning and investment management needs. I do not provide off-the-shelf advice which can be found everywhere. I have more than 40 years experience, giving me the perspectives needed to be forward-looking.

My Background

I have lived in the San Diego area for more than 50 years.  I began investing for my own account as a sophomore in college (UCSD), having learned about the stock and options markets through self-study.  After 3 years in the banking industry, I started in the financial advisory field.  In 1983 I started my own firm, Capital Growth, Inc., after successfully passing 5 licensing examinations in the prior 4 years. I have always had a firm commitment to expanding my educational horizons, as it fosters a broader perspective to the advice I give my clients.

About Me

I have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. I have always had a desire to help out children who are affected by unfortunate circumstances.  As a result, I have taken a keen interest in charities that serve our community to help out children in need.  In particular, Just In Time for Foster Youth (“JIT”), Promises2Kids, and Make-A-Wish Foundation, have my greatest attention.

While there are numerous other charities that have significant merit, the needs that these 3 serve, speak to me.  After losing my daughter a few years ago, I thought it would be important to support JIT’s Rise to Resilience program in her honor. Rise to Resilience empowers young adult former foster kids to overcome some of the toxic stress caused by Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
